Flower Essences

At Fluid Essence I work with both Bach Flower Remedies and Australian Bush Flower Remedies to support emotional wellbeing and assist in the gentle release of negative emotional states.

Bach flower remedies offer a gentle, holistic approach to supporting emotional and psychological well-being by targeting specific mental states and stress triggers. Developed in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, this system uses 38 plant and flower essences grouped into seven core psychological categories, including fear, uncertainty, loneliness, oversensitivity, overcare, lack of interest and despair.

Examples of essences such as Mimulus for known anxieties, White Chestnut for a racing mind, or Larch for building self-esteem, these gentle vibrational essences to help harmonize negative emotional states and encourage greater emotional resilience.

The popular pre-mixed Rescue Remedy is widely used to bring swift composure during moments of acute shock, panic, or sudden stress. Using flower essences fosters deeper self-reflection, mindfulness, and emotional awareness.

Australian Bush Flower Remedies provide a modern, holistic framework designed to help individuals navigate contemporary emotional, psychological, and spiritual challenges. Developed in the 1980s by naturopath and herbalist Ian White, this system utilizes 69 distinct essences derived from native plants flowering in Australia’s unique, pristine habitats.

These essences are invaluable for assisting in the handling of modern-life stressors—such as technology overload, burnout, relational boundaries, and life transitions by helping clear emotional blockages and supporting personal growth. Individual remedies like Waratah foster resilience during profound distress, Bottlebrush helps individuals adapt to major life changes, and Flannel Flower promotes physical and emotional openness.

Much like Bach’s Rescue Remedy, the Australian system features its own widely used acute blend, Emergency Essence, which aims to restore immediate calm, reassurance, and balance during times of severe panic, trauma, or unexpected turmoil.

These gentle remedies work wonderfully on both humans and animals, they are highly diluted, non-addictive, and free from side effects, these essences serve as a mild, non-invasive therapy that fosters self-awareness and wellbeing.
